Thousands of courses are on the Sonocaddie web site for your free access, and thousands are being added each year. Simply plug the Sonocaddie USB cable into your computer, go to www.sonocaddie.com, browse your favorite course by State and City, and hit download. If your course is not there, Sonocaddie will upload it on request, or you can very easily add your course by walking or driving, and at each target, hazard, and green permanently mark the spot with a touch of a button. From then on, the Sonocaddie always knows your yardage from that spot- even if you’re at the 19th hole!

You can also download any course from your Sonocaddie to others with the included connecting cable and the touch of a button. 3AAA batteries-regular or rechargeable- (not included) will last up to three rounds (16 hours) and are easily replaced.

Distance to Critical Targets
This screen provides you the course map information and identifies the recorded targets on each hole. You can easily identify the precise yardage from wherever you stand on the course to any target (bunker, tree, water, etc.) without having to guess.

Sonocaddie lets you enlarge the display of the green, giving you a better look at its center, then allows you to customize the center of the green with the simple touch of a button.

The yardage book style of the displays makes mapping the course easy. The space between the two dot lines on the display indicates the fairway portion of the course and lets you clearly determine Rough Left and Rough Right. (Users can categorize either Rough/Fairway left or Rough/Fairway Right on the screen display for personal choice.)

Watch while you move towards the ball, the yardage number on the screen will constantly change while Sonocaddie continually updates the yardage to each target. (For example, if you are moving towards the bunker, the yardage number will decrease according to your new position in relation to the target)

Distance to Green
With the touch of a button, you can switch between two screens. (As shown below) This allows you to concentrate on your approach shot to the Green and let's you see an enlarged view of the green area without having to get up closer to the green.

The enlarged green function is perfect for identifying the center point of the green and estimating the pin placement for a more accurate approach shot.

Personalized Course Target Setting
With our friendly interface, you will have no trouble trying to decipher abbreviations. Instead you can easily choose from 11 simple icon designs representing everything from bunkers (front/back), to water hazards (front/back), to creeks (front/back), to best lay-ups, to out of bounds areas, to trees, hills and traps.

In seconds, you can add or edit 2 green targets (Front/Back) and up to 6 non-green targets on each hole, or, if you choose you can erase any targets on the screen. While walking through a hole, you will be able to generate or edit the targets according to your individual preferences and skill level.

In the Smart Green mode, you can adjust the front of the green or the back of the green to update the coordinates. Once both the front and back of the green are set, Sonocaddie will automatically calculate the center of the green.

Driving Distance
Eliminate guesswork and inaccurate walk off measurements to judge your driving distances. By using the world's leading GPS technology, Sonocaddie precisely measures how far you hit your driver. Simply press "Start" after taking your tee shot and you automatically record you start position. Then, when you reach your ball, press "End" and Sonocaddie will automatically calculate the precise distance of your shot and display it on the screen.

At the driving range, we can usually hit each club for a consistent distance. However, once we get out on the course it's completely different. From slopes to weather, everything influences the true distance of your shot. Sonocaddie is the best way to learn how those conditions are affecting your distance, so you can make the proper adjustments toward improving your game.

Digital Scorecard
Sonocaddie will keep track of both your front nine and back nine scores, calculating and reporting them to you as you go so that you can concentrate on your game and not worry about miscalculations. At the end of eighteen, Sonocaddie will present a summary of your round.

Easy Access to Course Information
Information on courses from around the world is available for download on the "course" section of this website. You can even pre-study a courses scorecard before playing the course as well as use the GPS information as a yardage book.

Searching available golf courses is simple and fast, and downloading is FREE for any Sonocaddie user. Sonocaddie users can also share information about any golf course in the world by posting their GPS data to the website. So, next time you travel, you'll know the course before you even play.

Share Courses information Among Sonocaddies
Sonocaddie users can trade GPS information anywhere on the course for free.
This function saves Sonocaddie users time when building a database (GPS targets) and allows users who don't have Internet access to still be able to download course information from other Sonocaddie users. Who knows, sharing your information may even win you a few friends before you even start your round.

Before transferring any course information, Sonocaddie users can view the course information to double check the details. As shown below, it provides the following information:
